World Games Stadium Of Taiwan - 100% Solar Powered

The dragon like structure you see under construction in these photos is the World Games Stadium in Taiwan, which is being built for the upcoming World Games. And what looks like dragon’s scales from afar are actually 8.844 solar panels which is enough to satisfy all of the stadium’s energy needs.

The 14.155 m2 roof has the potential to generate 1,14 gigawatt hours of electricity every year, which is actually enough to power 80% of the stadium’s surrounding neighborhood when it’s not in use. It was designed by Japanese architect , Toyo Ito, cost around $150 million to build and can hold 55.000 spectators.


World Games itself is kind of like the Olympics, except that the 30 different competitions include diverse sports like sky diving, billiards, frisbee, sumo and tug of war. In other words, events I’d actually like to see.

Having any problems with your PC which is caused by Conficker Virus a.k.a Downadup, Downup or Kido ?

Kanye West says he is devastated by reports of Chris Brown’s alleged assault of girlfriend Rihanna.

West spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday morning, stating that he was "completely devastated by the concept of what I heard". The rapper, who partied alongside the couple at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party in L.A. on Saturday, learned the appalling news just prior to his performance of "American Boy" with Estelle during Sunday’s Grammy Awards, reports UsMagazine.com.

"I was completely devastated during the performance," West said. He went on to add that he knows Rihanna better than Brown, as he toured with the 20-year-old singer just last year during his Glow in the Dark tour. "Rihanna is so important to our culture ... to pop music," West continued. "I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level and her age ... she has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time."In that sense, I feel like that's my baby sis," he said of Rihanna. "I would do any and everything to help her in any situation". Avoiding specifics, West added, "All I want to say is, it's so devastating. Just as a person, I don't care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald's ... [abuse] should never happen. It should never come to that place".

BRITNEY SPEARS has gone into a "panic" after her secret diaries were stolen from her Beverly Hills home. The Womaniser star had been due to start writing her memoirs but discovered that her handwritten journals and video diaries had gone missing.

The documents included intimate details about her highly-publicised breakdown last year, including her time in a psychiatric ward.
They are also understood to have included details about her medical records, her plans to get back together with ex-husband Kevin Federline, how she kept hearing voices in her head, and the reason behind her decision to shave her head.
A source close to Spears, 27, said the information in the journals is "crucial" to her autobiography.
They said: "Britney is in a panic over the stolen journals and video interviews done during some of the darkest days of her life.
"She wants desperately to tell her side for her boys. She wants them to know the truth - her truth."
The singer was reportedly close to signing a deal worth £10 million ($14 million) to write her autobiography, which will chronicle never-before-heard details of her year-long emotional breakdown.

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Logan, the mutant who eventually becomes Wolverine and sometimes member of the X-Men. Die-hards may raise an eye brow at the timing of Gambit's (Taylor Kitsch) introduction to the Marvel film world. However, much like Wolverine, he has a cult-like following (albeit smaller), questionable origins, and the Marvel franchise was running out of options as to when to bring Gambit into the fold. Japanese cell phone maker Sony Ericsson yesterday, 10 February 2009, unveiled the W395, an affordable mid-level music phone with stereo speakers and stereo widening for high-quality bass.

The W395 has external control keys to manage music. For live music, it has an integrated FM radio.

TrackID help users identify elusive songs, while PlayNow provides downloadable content such as themes, wallpapers and ringtones.

A 2.0-megapixel camera captures photos that can be shared with friends via Bluetooth wireless technology or uploaded to the Internet.

"Our most affordable Walkman slider phone to date allows users to share music with friends as well as video clips and photos for the ultimate entertainment experience," said Alexandre Cardon, Product Marketing Manager at Sony Ericsson.

The Sony Ericsson W395 will be available in selected markets this quarter in the colors Dusky Grey and Blush Titanium.

T-Mobile today announced an 8.0-megapixel touch-screen camera phone that allows users to take photos like a point-and-shoot digital camera.

The Samsung Memoir 8.0-megapixel camera has a Xenon flash, 16x digital zoom and five shooting modes. It features a large touch-screen with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. A virtual QWERTY keypad texts multimedia messages, chat and email, while built-in Assisted GPS navigation offers turn-by-turn directions.

For handsfree use, the Memoir has stereo Bluetooth technology, speakerphone and voice-activated dialing. An integrated music and video player provides on-the-road entertainment.

Samsung's new photo widget lets users to post photos directly to favorite online photo sharing sites such as flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket and Snapfish.





"This is the camera phone that will make people want to leave their digital camera at home," said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Mobile. "When you combine the Memoir's imaging capabilities, customizable menus and music player, not only is it a great phone, but the entertainment possibilities are unlimited."

T-Mobile has not announced a release date or price.
